hoggydo
Hi Guys I have an irritating problem with my 2007 90CSW. I have this intermittent squeak/squeal coming from the passenger side rear wheel. It's only noticeable when steering to the left and does not happen all the time. Land Rover say that the wheel bearing is ok, as is the brakes on that wheel......and needless to say when they had it in the workshop it was one of the days that it was not doing it..............sod's law!! In desperation on a long journey home one week and with it driving me mad I pulled over and sprayed WD40 over the rear shock/spring area and it was cured for about 10 days. Does this suggest anything in particular with you guy's that understand the oily bit's as i'm no amateur mechanic myself and don't know what may have been causing this? I would appreciate any thought's on this one please?? Thanks.
BogMonster
Bush or bolt squeaking, or maybe the spring squeaking on the mount would be my guess. Check all the bolts are tight in that area for starters.
alantd
I have a similar issue with my TD5. I don't think it would be fixed by oiling the spring etc as it is a constant, very hight pitched squeal (almost inaudible) as I turn. I assumed it was brakes or bearings. I'm about to pick up my 2007 110 on Friday so I'll listen out for what you describe. I'm sure I'll be back and forth to the dealer more frequently than the postman. BogMonster
Why would you go back and forth frequently to see the postman?

alantd
Has anyone checked the power steering pump? I've heard a cross between a "honk" and a "chirp" at full lock on many of my cars. Sounds like the PS pump regulating. Never heard it under general turning conditions, though.
