I like the idea of either a isuzu 2.8tdi or a landy 200/300. either will have a modded fuel pump, oil cooler, intercooler, and maybe a new turbo such as a td5. which one will provide a more performance, and still be reliable (i will look after it, honest!), which weighs the least? From the info i have gathered, the isuzu is alot smaller than the disco block, but i will need an adaptor plate to mate to a lt77, so its overal length may be the same, its the weight thats important though, especially for racing. your thoughts please. honitonhobbit Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 Mmmm, the 200/300 for ease of fitment, parts, insurance, in a touch the Isuzu is easier to tune and stronger in high tune mode. All are readily available and cheap. The Isuzu lump is lighter and allows the weight to be put back behind the axle in a very easy way.
