No clutch

Clutch just packed up. Felt 'funny' for one gear change then at next junction pedal went half way down and stopped solid. No loss of fluid. No leaks. But no gear change either. :(

It's pushed the rod through the release fork and bottomed the slave hasn't it?

What's the best way forward for a 'quick and dirty' to get running for a month or so?

Prop shafts off, gear stick off and just pull back while balancing (precariously) on jacks? Or do you need it on the ground to change the fork? Or support it from above with an engine hoist?

Don't know what I'm talking about here but if the slave and rod can be removed and as said the rod has punched through the arm then can you make a larger end on the rod with weld so it can't go through the existing hole.

May last a month or so.

I know. Search first then ask. But I was traumatized. Wife pulled me home with her Escort. She's never towed before. She was in a hurry 'cos tea was in oven. She has two speeds at best of times; on/off. It was only half a mile. Longest half mile in my life.

Oh my god- you poor sod... a female towing you... in a ford... I am off to lie down

On a positive note... you could always bring the V8 conversion forward a bit :D
