metalmental Posted March 16, 2008 Share Posted March 16, 2008 Alittle help/advise needed please. On selecting four wheel drive the steering seems to "snatch" when turning corners. My 109 is fitted with Fairey FWH and this problem does not occur in normal 2 wheel drive. Ideally I need to know what is the cause and then the repair!! Les Henson Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 A 109 doesn't have CV joints like Defenders etc do. You have U/J's instead and on tight steering lock they bind and kick back on the steering. This gets worse if the U/J's are worn. FWH are a waste of time in my opinion. Les.
