110WestCape
Just to share an idea .... was looking for a place to position extra guages the other day. This is what I came up with. Box made of plywood covered with similar fabric as the cubby box.
JimAttrill
I have a 'mud console', Brian sells them but they are a bit expensive what with the exchange rate shipping and duty etc. I think there are pictures on the website.
110WestCape
Thanks Jim, i've seen the mud console but the exchange rate convinced me otherwise. Took me 2 evenings after work to concoct this box and cost me less than R100. Easy to remove if I need to. I still need to fit another voltmeter for the aux battery but have made provision for this in the box already. This way I can see zactly what the status is of both at the same time during and without load. I am going to the Richtersveldt over Easter and should test it properly with the fridge running etc. The national luna setup dropped me a bit on the way to Etosha when the timer on the solenoid stopped timing ..... made a trolley owner very happy when we had to say cheers to the contents of the fridge in Swakopmund. Cheers, Wikus
