meanster
Hi I just got my first freelander I cant get me nuts off to check the brakes, I think they need replacement pads and shoes. Sorry to be thick, But the locking nut socket I got, does not fit the one small nut on each wheel !! It is smaller than the other nuts and is smooth all round, so the socket dont fit Help would be great, But PLEASE keep it to yourself, Cos the lads will laugh so much, my freelander will rot before they stop. ha ha ha
Blippie
There's a smooth metal cap, a bit like a policeman's helmet, over each locking wheel nut. There is a a plastic tool, a bit like a narrow toilet roll tube, that you slip over it and tug it off. Cheers Blippie PS - absolutely NO innuendo in this post. Thanks for your help, BIG Thanks for being the first to reply to my first posting Cheers You can use a long nose plier, like the one in attach, but take care not to put too much force on it, as the caps will bend.
