Is it possible that you took your first reading when the engine had settled for a short period, say half an hour, and the last reading when it hd settled over night ? Diesel does enter the oil, but if its a large amount quickly then normally there are other more obvious signs to notice like the engine running carp. lynall
Only way derv can get into a tdi sump is through the lift pump, rub the oil between your fingers and smell it. TDI are a painto check the oil on best way is to let it stand overnight. 200 even harder takes an age to drain and settle Lynall
JimAttrill
No, a 300tdi will not add to the oil level even if the pump is at fault. You must be misreading the level somehow.

JimAttrill
Yes that was a 200tdi issue only - the 300tdi does not have that problem.
