peterdug Posted June 8, 2008 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Just bought a 300 tdi rangerover engine for my 90 rebuild and just want to check that the defender r380 gearbox will fit straight on and if there are any differences between the rangerover and defender engine. Think i've read it right in an earlier post that the gear boxes are the same number for defender and rangie, just need to know if there are any engine differences or can i still source defender parts for the rest of the engine bay rebuild ? Thank god for that, just bid on gear and transfer box on e-bay, i thought they were the same but nice to have confirmation, cheers mate.
