As mentioned in my PM , chop the cylinder mount off , Make a new one up to your desired spec and reweld and test .

They are a bit like propshafts , a locating step inside the mounting yoke that sleeves into the cylinder bore .

I did indeed get a ram recently, i believe mine is actually intended for a log splitter....however i found a company that made them to order but right now cant remember the place's name. Its in a thread somewhere with specs and prices.

That looks like a drilling for a grease nipple or other form of lubrication to me. The grease nipple on mine is in that exact spot. Its probably left blank as it depends what application its used for what lubrication system would be used. Easiest to get some grease nipples and tap a thread to suit.
