Hi, anyone have some advice--

200 tdi in a classic range rover, runs well, starts well, pulls well doesnt smoke much but occasionally on warm start.

The engine is clattery with loud induction noise, sometimes worse than others, is there a timing advance system, could it be sticky.

who supplies good ear plugs or should I encase it in cement !!

Should have added that this engine is much more diesel y sounding than others, not mechy noise, could it be injection timing.

Just found the turbo hose has a crack so will change it, but suspect it's theres more to this one

Any ideas out there. Please.
