Mark
I am in the process of cleaning up my spare set of discovery steel rims, all of which need thier beads wire brushing to get rid of the rust and the mud. However, once clean, should I paint them or not? They do not seem to have been painted originally, so I wonder if there are reasons on to paint the bead? cheers Mark

BogMonster
I have just finished repainting an old set of 8 spokes in silver aluminium paint and have painted the beads, I also did it last time and they never lost any pressure so I would say yes it is a good idea as it will reduce corrosion. Mark
Cool, that is the conclusion I was coming to. Just waiting for them to dry off now, so I can prep the outers for paint...
