weasel_110
Hi Chaps!, I have been working shifts so not had the chance to update for a while. The problem I had was the transfer box slipping into neutral and I had to put a bungee cord/elastic hook around it and fix to seat base to keep it engaged in this position. I tried all the suggestions put forward by Gaza, Dan and Trev over a couple of days, but it didn't stop the problem So I welded a piece of 10mm bar to the metal plate under the Diff lever gaiter so... thus, so far in 150 miles, it hasn't jumped out! No doubt it will fail completely sooner or later but, in the meantime-£500 saved on having to fit a new transfer box = new set of tyres! Thanks again for your help! paul stage1v8
Old tyres or new tyres, when it does let go completely you wont be going anywhere, hopefully you will be close to home not out on a track somewhere.

Absolutely right Paul (voice of reason!) Got a good 2nd hand transfer box fitted. Cheers Gary
