Why would a missing propshaft fail an MoT? The MoT is testing for safety rather than mechanical completeness, there is no reason for them to fail it, even if you left the front axle intact.

I believe there are quite a few freelanders driving about these days with no rear propshaft, with no issue - the afore mentioned fridgefreezer is one that I know of....

Cheers guys,

So basically I could run a complete axle casing as a slave axle and make her RWD. Technically though, just an idea, if I wanted to keep her RWD I could delete the Series Box+T'box and run a RWD LT77, assuming i can find a decent one to start with from a SD1 or TR7. But really, there isn't any real gain to be made out of doing the latter. please excuse me, just thinking/typing out aloud.
