yellow
I am thinking of swapping my steering from the right to the left, and for that I'd need to swap the axle for a LHD version. As most of the parts are the same between LHD and RHD, and RRCs and Discos are cheaper over here, I would like to know which parts I can scavenge... My vehicle is a 110, V8 of 1987 vintage. Being a 110, you are limited to 110 hubs I believe as the swivels are different on RRC and Disco. All you need for LHD conversion as far as the axle is concerned is the RH hub with the steering arm on I think. Pretty sure this is right, but a grown up will be along shortly to correct me if I am wrong
paul stage1v8
you would only need the RH swivel housing for the axle, though you may prefer to swap the complete axle and just keep your brakes, though the 110 cvs are stronger.
bishbosh
You need to be careful with that approach - defender calipers have different sized (larger shank) bolts holding them on to RRC and Disco so would be loose on t RRC/Disco hub.
