AJL
After demounting my winch today I removed the grill and noticed that my intercooler (allisport) looked like it was blown / leaking / damaged. There was a oily gungy buildup in the top right hand corner. After closer inspection I couldnt see any visible damage but why should this be? Les Henson
An oily gunge inside the intercooler or air filter normally denotes a worn engine (overbreathing). Catflap was doing this and it was a cracked piston. The only way it could get to the outside would be through a hole though. Les.
