Les Henson Posted October 17, 2008 Share Posted October 17, 2008 No, the stick stubs stay in place. When you lower the gearbox down, they don't interfere with the distance that the gearbox will move back. Be very careful that the gearbox doesn't roll as you slide it back - it can jam in the transmission tunnel and is very awkward/difficult to free off. joe sharpe Posted October 19, 2008 Author Share Posted October 19, 2008 well thanks for all the advice i have decided to split transfer box from the gearbox done it this morning (well chuffed), the fork has some wear but the clutch plate springs have departed company from the plate,i have a full kit on its way to fit . can someone advise me what the seal is called on the transfer case as i need a new one and never ordered it with clutch . cheers joe Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
