jbergholm
So far I've managed to get everything else right when I order parts but it seems mudflaps are a bit more complicated. I need a rear mudflap and bracket LH to a 1998 Defender 90. Chassi no WA140311. Or is it that simple that they come as one unit? For example Paddocks MUC3990? Also if someone can explain why Swedish LR dealers wants to sell me PBP101130 when I ask for PBP101140 Engine to oil cooler. The to pipes doesn't look the same at all. Cheers
Ivan
Also if someone can explain why Swedish LR dealers wants to sell me PBP101130 when I ask for PBP101140 Engine to oil cooler. The to pipes doesn't look the same at all. Because they don't know their a*r*e from their elbow. 101130 should be the bottom hose from the engine to the oil cooler and 101140 is the top hose from the engine to the oil cooler. The hoses are different, particularily where they connect to the oil filter housing. Ivan
jbergholm
Hi Ivan, do I know you from this subject on a different forum? I agree on what you say about the swedish LR dealers. But from where do they get their information? They are using this electronic parts catalog or whatever it's called and still they mess up like they do! Lars L
Another good question is why one gets a RH mudflap for a 90 when a LH one for a 110 is correctly ordered from Britpart? Or why two of the steel rings for brake calipers are smaller than the other two in the repair kit? And when getting a replacement kit only one is smaller? Well, an improvement anyway So, check yer spares before dismantling!
Ivan
Johan You possibly know me from the "other place". I seem to remember someone asking for the part numbers for oil cooler pipes for a Tdi. Ivan
jbergholm
I am sure that somebody on this forum has bought a rear mudflap to a 90 300 Tdi and can tell me what to get. As mentioned I need both the flap and the bracket LH. Wherever I look it's always: up to VIN XXXX or from VIN ZZZZZ. But I have VIN YYYYY!! Cheers!
