disconeil Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 hi guys, i am in need of your help again if possible. i was driving my truck (1994 300 tdi manual) when with no warning 12 miles from home i had trouble getting any gear, i had to force the gear in. i changed the slave and master cylinder and also the damper,then bled the system but it still wont go in gear easy except 2nd which seems fine??? any ideas ??? i thank you in advance. neil Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BogMonster Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 Could be the grub screw on top of the gearbox coming out, though usually you lose all gears when that lets go or end up jammed in a gear with the stick flopping around all over the place You have to take the centre console out and the top off the gearbox but it can be done from inside the vehicle, it isn't a gearbox out job.
