doda456
As i have a slight habit of removing wing mirrors whilst off roading, e.g 5 times since april I was wondering if it is possible to fit Defender mirrors onto my disco? Im just wondering as they fold flat against the body or can be removed easier to prevent them being removed by a tree. Dan
Orange
People have done it. It's a case of making up a plate to fit over the hole that the Disco mirror leaves, then bolting the Def mirror to said plate. Fairly simple. Not the most elegant of mods, but definitely a functional one... HTH Adrian
TDi.Si
I fitted some cinqecento (sp?) mirrors the other day. Just looked at random cars in the scrappy until I found somthing flexable!
First_Fleet
What is wrong with folding back the Discovery mirrors before you set off? If you are driving that close to objects you would be damaging bodywork or A post.
TDi.Si
I do fold mine in, but they still stick out enough to break them off! Plus my bodywork does have a few 'surface scratches'
jimmy62alan
good call Adrian, I was going to ask if there is any blanking plates to buy to do this but I think making plates up should not be that differcult. I want to buy a Disco to mainly do towing of the caravan and boxed trailer so the larger mirrors will be much better. ALAN
