stevegibbs
Hi, after removing the steering tie bar to unsieze the adjuster i thought i might as well change the ball joints, can anyone give me the part No. It’s for a 1994 300 tdi, they look the same as some other landrover ones i have but i thought i would check. Thanks Steve
DiscoStu
They are sided, i think its: LH threaded = RTC5870 RH threaded = RTC5869 Stu.
LZ5UL
Paddock offers some cheap of these but with grease nipples. Looks bigger and heavier than Delphi's and seems to last longer...
cipx2
It would have been more interesting a comparison with the oem ones, namely Lemforder. Delphi or TRW (these are really carp) don't last too long anyway.
LZ5UL
This is exactly what are we doing - I'm runing with set of Lemforders and a friend ot mine with set of these (see pic attached) I'll let you know wich one will fail first
Thys
They are sided, i think its:LH threaded = RTC5870 RH threaded = RTC5869 Stu. On my 1996 Disco 300 Tdi there are 3 right handed and 1 left handed ball joints. The track rod takes right handed ball joints on each side, and the drag link takes 1 left and 1 right handed ball joint.

At least you would have had about same operating conditions. It's not relevant on different vehicles. But keep us posted please, it would be interesting to know the results.
