colin macdonald Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 Hi, i have removed the propshaft to the rear wheels as the cv joint that bolts on to the gearbox is knackered, however i cant seem to source a replacement cv joint for it , can any one assist. Les Henson Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 Looks to me that you have to buy that section of propshaft. The joint on the end doesn't look like a seperate item. Its the bit that bolts on with 6 bolts that go through 3 curved washers. reg Colin Out of intrest my CV gave out after I snapped a engine mount and carried on racing a full round of the British off road championships with a rachet strap holding the engine and gearbox in place but I have never had it fail on any other of the five freelanders I've had.
