Grant.
Hi Guys, took my series 3 for an MOT and it passed all but one thing........ According to the tester it failed because it doesn't have hazard warning lights.... The same garage MOT'd it last year and they never mentioned about the switch last year! Its never had a hazard warning switch either to my knowledge... So i have to ask, is there a cut off age for hazard warning light switches on vehicles? Or should there be one fitted to all vehicles? Its a 1981 series 3 SWB, nothing fancy If anyone could get back to me ASAP would be great as I am waiting for the guy to call!! Thanks Grant
rtbarton
Unless they've changed the law........ If it didn't have hazards from new it doesn't need them If hazards have been retro-fitted they must work.

Night Train
Good one. I had a hazard light problem with my 1970 MGB in the 90's. The MOT tester said that they flashed too slow to pass. His solution was to remove the switch for the duration of the test!
