Delta
Hello every-one, A friend just bought a disco 300 automatic from 1997 The previous owner lost the keys and remote. He ordered new keys and remote at Land Rover, but couldn't code the new key... (tied it at a local previous Rover garage) They managed to make remote work and lights will go on dashboard, but no engine starting... Now we're trying to repair this, but as the alarm (newer version) cuts out the injectionpump and starter, we don't now how to solve this. We connected it to the test-book (from Land Rover) and recieved the codes from Land Rover, but no succes yet. Some people told us that it is posible to open (crack) the "little box"??? near the pump and connect 12v to a wire inside this box???? I hope this question is clear enough... Best Regards, Fred
tuko
Firstly, The keys for a 97 Disco are codeless. Take the VIN to a Land Rover garage so that they can give him the manual code to disable the vehicles immobilizer with the drivers side door lock. Todd. tuko
How can there be no results? It's just punching in the VIN and the computer (Not test book) coughs up the information......it may cost but is very doable. Or are you saying that the instructions to immobilize the the alarm with the key is not working? 5 turns with the key this way, 6 that way, 3 this way and finally the other way?? Todd.
