uksniper1 Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 hi guys,,just got a new set a 2 inch lift heavy duty springs for me rrc...and i noticed the rear srings are +50 and the fronts are +40..is this correct as i thought the front would be taller due to engine weight?...thanks for any help..cheers....wayne. Bowie69 Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 I suspect the spring rates will be different to stock, so therefore measuring the actual height of an uncompressed spring (I assume) has little relevance to the final fitted height... rangie_v8 Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Rear springs are firmer then front springs due to having to allow for a fully loaded vehicle plus a trailer, if they are fitted the wrong way round the front will be very stiff and the back will sit low and get worse with load.
