western
Depends on the Servo that's fitted & chassis number. Type 50 servo is 227mm in diameter used upto chassis HA701009 use master cylinder repair kit 18G8951L this servo is fairly thick when looked at side on Type 80 servo is 276mm in diameter used from chassis HA701009 use ---------------------------- AEU2741 this servo is a bigger diameter & thinner when looked at side on. 22lr90
glad you found the link, LR use a lot of LucasGirling brake parts, also APLockheed which is now Delphi IIRC, all are good quaility. just had a measure of the servo which is 276mm which you said is the type 80 servo but this doesnt match the vin number which begins fa40 first reg of 90 was 6/10/89 im a bit puzzled ... should i take this as being the type 80 servo??? my innitial problem being needing to pump the brake pedal twice for a good firm pedal but then it creeps away to halfway possition hence me asking for master cylinder seal kit checked wheel bearing play adjusted rear drums e.c.t all good plenty of suck on vac pump. so im thinking it must be master cylinder seals shot ive had the whole system pressure bled and theres no leaks anywhere so i was gonna get my bruv to re seal the master cylinder am i headin in the right direction??????? western
A type 80 is 276mm, maybe it's been changed before by a previous owner. IIRC the bolt configuration on both servo's for the master cylinder is different. so check that too, before buying a new MC. just measured my servo which is a type 50 @ 227mm diameter, my 110 is a Oct '89 reg too. western
master cylinders were used on both models & later they were changed to rationalise parts holdings.
