Have done a 20 minute 10mile trip twice and it seems fine for now and is not hot that was with stereo and heater going. I am doing a trip up to london in a few hours which is about 55miles. I hope it is going to be ok for that trip as the starter motor wont be drawing much current it would just be the light on the way back.
