clemo2k1 Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 morning all i am having problems with first and second last week on the way home from work the box in my 300 tdi 1998 started to fell dodgy it was hard to get the gear stick over to 1st and 2nd and when i did get it over after some fiddling it was hard to get it into those 2 gears one it was in gear it was fine no unusual noises or anything 3rd 4th 5th and reverse all working as normal any ideas anybody checked the oil levels all good??? clemo2k1 Posted May 17, 2009 Author Share Posted May 17, 2009 after some messing about this morning i found the cause of the problem the ball on the bottom of the gear leaver has fell out of its retaining cup so a new one is required but cant find one anywhere on the net any ideas where id get one from anybody??its got ftc 4247 b4 written on it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
