jules
At the weekend me and the wife walk the dogs in the new forest as in the summer being a local I hate tourists but during the colder months it is a nice walk. we did this on the way down to stunning on Sat morning I let the two Black Labs out of the car and as normal they sprint off into the open ground then after a few second they come back to me, We are half way between Fordingbridge and Cadnam parked in a allotted car park and wandered off along one of the many paths. We bumped into some other dog walkers and smiled, laughed and joked about the dogs running and playing. We also bumped into Ramblers that when my wife smiled and said good morning politely they just scowled back and we were both totally ignored which I find very rude. This happened to us every time we encountered ramblers even ones with small snappy rat on a lead dogs. Neither of us were wearing any 4x4 clothing we were both wearing walking boots (without the stupid red socks they all seam to wear). So I can only surmise that ramblers are rude and evil people that hate anyone they meet. No matter what the government gives them it will never be enough so we may as well ban Rambling and let everyone that wants to enjoy the country side do so unhindered by these cretins. BogMonster
Well anybody whose main source of entertainment involves being extremely cold and wet is bound to be a bit grumpy I suppose interesting idea though - ban rambling & make 4x4 ownership compulsory I did wonder if it was significant that this thread is right underneath one entitled "Oklahoma Full Auto Shoot" one way around the problem would be to combine the two! The red socks must be like a funny handshake, they treat anybody who isn't wearing them as a non-believer?
