stuntman
Hello one and all, I'm just in the process of purchasing my first P38, a 4.6 HSE Auto on a S plate, I've checked it over THOROUGHLY but I still expect things will crop up My main questions are: 1) It doesn't have satnav and I'd like to fit the factory accessory on, can this be done and if so are the parts easily available 2) Are side steps and bull bars easy to fit 3) Can someone recommend a gas converter locally to me in Notts or Derbyshire, I'd even buy a used unit and fit it myself or have a fitter do it for me. Can anyone recomend a good quality cheap kit? I have about £1000 to spend. 4) Does anyone have an accessories guide that was issued from LandRover as I'd like to spec up what I'll be getting with everything that was available at the time. And a couple of other questions. What can I expect mpg wise on a steady 30/40 mph run to work, about 20 miles, not much stop start Also what could i expect mpg wise at 60 on the motorway. I have used the search function but it's always nice to get peoples views that are up to date Regards Andi k

Genuine items come up for sale as new old stock on eBay. 3) Sorry can't help on this one. 4) I have a LR Accessories Brochure in my collection for most P38 model years, most of the stuff you can no longer get from LR, again, bigger LR dealers have a purge and list it on eBay. If you want a particular item I can give you the part number. Its best if you can get a P38 with all of the whistles and bells already fitted, but as you've seen from the listings any P38 is buyer beware and when I was looking for one every indie specialist told me that 80% of whats out there isn't worth touching, I spent 6 months looking for a good one and gave up and bought another Classic
Goosey
Hi Andy, Expect 15-20mpg on local runs and, perhaps, mid 20's on a long run.
