Portals c303 gear question

Recommended Posts

The difference as far as gear ratio is at the crown wheel and pinion. If you find the appropriate crown wheels and pinions, you should be able to swap them to obtain 6:1 overall.

AFAIK, the C306, 6x6 were ~7:1 ratio and have 4 pinion differentials (the C303, which are ~6:1 ratio, have 2 pinion diffs). I don't know what ratio was used in the C304, or how many pinions were in the diffs.

So your diffs may be the stronger 4 pinion version. Also the rearmost axle housing of the C306 has less offset of the pumpkin.

The portal boxes and internals are the same.
