If you find the appropriate crown wheels and pinions, you should be able to swap them to obtain 6:1 overall. AFAIK, the C306, 6x6 were ~7:1 ratio and have 4 pinion differentials (the C303, which are ~6:1 ratio, have 2 pinion diffs). I don't know what ratio was used in the C304, or how many pinions were in the diffs. So your diffs may be the stronger 4 pinion version.
