simes
Hi, all you fountains of knowledge. I need to change the injection pump on my 300tdi. I understand that it can be done without stripping the timing case if you have the LR special tool. Does anyone have a picture of the tool or a drawing so I can try & make it. barmiebrumie
I may be wrong but think the timing tool you are on about is the 9mm bolt to stop the pump moving when changing a cam belt, not heard of a tool to keep every thing in plasce while changing pumps, but as said I maght be wrong & woudlnt be the first time Last time i cahnged one I got it to tdc & then placed tool/bolt in place & marked all the other cogs & belt with white tipex so I could put every thing back in the same place Hope that is of some help John
simes
Thanks for that, I`m sure that will be helpful, but the tool i`m after holds the pulley in place inside the timing cover while the pump is removed. I guess it sort of pulls it off the shaft & clamps it to the cover. Or maybe I was told porkies. Simon

Simon Hi Yes such a tool is available, think if you look on LR parts for sale on EBLAG and type in tools a timing kit will come up made by sealey i think that contains the tool you need if i remember correctly, kit costs about £50 regards Keith
