Ginsey
Hi, I had the same problem. It did turn out to be the solenoid. Mine also clicked but did not winch in. As a test I connected terminal 'A' to terminal 'F1'. I then connected the positive to 'F2' and the winch drove one way. Then I connected terminal 'A' to terminal 'F2' and the positive to 'F1' the winch then drove the other way. This is basically the function of the solenoid. Obviously you need to be very careful and disconnect the battery when changing connections. Use the cables already connected to the motor/solenoid as the current is very high. Hope this is of some help. Shane
lansalot
If the solenoid is wired incorrectly to the winch, this can also happen. I did it when I "carefully labelled" the wires when swapping the winch, put the new one back in and all together - and found it ran one way, but only clicked the other. Turned out my labelling hadn't been quite so careful after all...
