Blippie
The cylinder needs changing at the same time- it's a complete sealed unit. It's all covered in the RAVE workshop manual. Cheers Blippie

EggNChips
Hi all i am planning to change the clutch on my 98 freelnder 2.0 d l series. and was wondering if anyone has any advice about what else i wopuld need to change besides the clutch and release bearing. Thanks It's not too bad, I did it in my driveway. Difficult bit is getting the box back on, especially if you don't remove the IRD box as you've got two sets of splines to line up. In my case it turned out only to be the release bearing that had broken up.
