Simon119
Afternoon all I'm about to convert my TD5 90 Truck cab to a van. I'm just wondering if there are any tricks i should know about or any particular problems to expect. Any info anyone can offer would be much appreciated. Cheers Simon
bushwhacker
If you already have the van sides check how many nuts, bolts n washers you need (stainless steel if possible). On my old 88 there was speical bolts for the 4 corners to clamp the sides down. There is also a rubber seal were the top mates to the waist line make sure to get the proper stuff or close to it. I used a type of foam strip, ok until it rained it was then like a sponge. Meccano comes to mind.
errol209
The parts book is handy for the "working out where it all goes" phase too - should be a link in the tech archive. My useful advice would be to make sure the seals along the top of the windscreen frame (there are two) are well fitted, and ditto the ones between the roof and side panels (do these bolts up first).
