PaulN Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Try pulling or pushing at the same time as you operate the switch. If it always gets stuck in the same place one or two teeth are probably worn on the regulator assembly. The motor's driver screw is normally okay and harder material than the teeth. Might be that the whole toothed assembly's welds have broken. Quite common apparently but my guess is the former. Best to replace with new one either way imho. If you're very clever and can repair - there is a good article on this forum somewhere by a very capable person and it shows how to repairfailed welds but I'd chuck the old one and then you know where you stand.
