LandyLee
Before I go and buy some , do I need these with a 2" lift ? I have none fitted as of yet and I need to know whether to buy standard or extended ones ? Currently I am running +2" shocks and springs and that`s all, no -2" turrets or different shock mounts
Ex Member
It is the size of the tyres that determine if you need bump stops. It has nothing to do with a lift. Somewhere a little above 33" the rear tyres will hit under full compression at the top and longer bump stops should be fitted.
landroversforever
Bump stops also need to be extended to stop springs bottoming out on themselves.
Ex Member
Bump stops also need to be extended to stop springs bottoming out on themselves. With poorly designed spring lifts.....
LandyLee
I`m running 265/75/16 - general grabber at2s on it right now so no problems then just buy the ordinary ones ?
Ex Member
Yep, no need to longer stops.
