lough90 Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 I have owned my TD5 GS for 5 years and am now experiencing difficulty when selecting 3rd gear , this is a lot more noticeable when cold. The Disco has 86K on the clock and my local independent LD garage changed the oil but this has made no real difference. I also feel that the flywheel made be starting to fail. Thanks. BogMonster Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 Could be the clutch or flywheel (bad clutch causes bad gearchanges) or the syncros on 3rd but syncros usually go on 1st and 2nd before anything else due to the higher speed differences they usually have to take up.
