jmattley
The cambelt snapped yesterday on my 200tdi, i was doing about 30 at the time and stopped straight away so I didn't drive far with it broken. My question is, will it just be a case of a couple of bent push rods and dented valves or will there be much more damage done to the engine? Cheers everyone!!! western
valves & pistons are square to eachother, so they should be OK, check the pushrods by rolling on a known flat surface, probably best to replace all 8 pushrods, hopefully that will be all but check the rockers/valve cap shims & rocker shaft for any damage.
