nick w Posted June 6, 2010 Share Posted June 6, 2010 having just installed a second hand tmax 9500 on the defender i have a problem all is ok winching out but when i try to winch in the soliniod just chatters and the drum does not move may be a wiring diagram would be helpfull if any one has one as i do have a small black cable hanging lose which appears to be an earth but it goes on a connection which links between both soliniods but as one works ie the out one and it does not look like it was ever connected i am not sure of its purpose any help greatly appriciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Off Road Toad Posted June 6, 2010 Share Posted June 6, 2010 If its the black wire thats sticking out of the original solonoid box then you need to connect it to the earth bolt on the underside of the winch motor - the same one that should have a big fat earth straight back to your battery.
