kellyv8
ive just replaced the cylinder head on my 1995 discovery and while attempting to put it all back together ive discovered that the 10 new bolts in the head bolt set are 15mm shorter than the old ones which are the correct size at 140mm will i be able to still use these or are the bolts wrong
Les Henson
I wouldn't - 15mm is a heck of a lot of thread that should be in the block and won't be. I would expect the difference between old and new to be 1mm or less. They are stretch bolts, but there's no way there would be that much variation. Perhaps you have been supplied the head bolts for another engine? Les.
