Jim1
Set torque wrench to 40Nm and relised this is less than what I nibbed them up to. Just want to confirm 40Nm is correct. then reading on 60 degrees twice how's the best way to judge 60 degrees with out a protractor then another 20 degrees for centre row. Anyone now what the final torque setting is?? Thanks for help.
Mark
The bolts are stretch bolts - hence the need for angular adjustment. The easiest way to do it is with a breaker bar and an angle guage: available for a few quid from a motor factors I seem to remember... In terms of the initial setting, I would be inclined to slacken them all off (in the right order) and torque them to 40Nm (sounds right) and then through the angular routine. hth Mark

cackshifter
Or add a splash of paint from a corner on each bolt to the head. Then move them on 1 corner at a time - OK I realise you have to estimate the last 20 deg, but it's also easy to make sure you don't miss one.
