Diablo
http://yourfreedom.hmg.gov.uk/repealing-unnecessary-laws/nerc-legislation Clegg's new website is up, so this is potentially a chance for those in power to take notice of us.
Bowie69
Think they need to give their ISP a ring and upgrade, it is crawling at the moment... *BUT* really good idea
Mark
Indeed, an excellent idea. There is a similar proposal for regarding historic vehicle tax as well, which I think should be brought back.
Rich_P
So for those of us who can't actually access it as it takes too long to load (so browser gives in), what does it actually say? Is it just another one of these websites where people put in proposals (like that petition one) where nothing will ever come of it? Or is it a way of the Government informing the people about their plans?
Diablo
It's the petition one. Not an actual petition, more of a 'put your point forward' sort of thing. So I presume the ones that have the most comments etc will be most noticed by those in power.... And yes, the website has been overloaded all day, typical eh. Have not had a chance to see the historic tax one, but shall certainly be looking for it whenever the server becomes realistically useful. Bowie69
This sort of thing: Followed by suprisingly well reasoned and calm arguments from members of the publicĀ
