Woody3
Hi, I have a Gearbox and Transfer box from a 200tdi RRC Vogue SE. The car was a 92 K Reg. Basically, how do I know what gearbox/transfer it actually is? I know it is a manual and I suspect it's a LT77, but unsure. Are there any markings on the boxes?...I've had a quick look, but nothing that says LT** or R***. To select reverse it is over to the left and up. Any help would be great, as I'm sticking it up for sale. Thanks, W.
sean f
Reverse over to the left and up would make it an LT77, which I think would match with the age.
DrRob
It should be an LT77S which was a refinement of the LT77 coupled to a Borg Warner Transfer i.e. no centre diff lock but a viscous coupling. Much quieter and smoother then a diff lock transfer you get in a Defender or Disco of that age... Ashcrofts are the people to ask about gearboxes etc
