mikej Posted August 12, 2010 Share Posted August 12, 2010 Hi I have a 2001 discovery over last 4months when i go to start it it turns over but will not fire so have to keep key turned when it trys to fire put foot on accelerator till it picks up and i can rev it up (doesn't work every time usually end up charging battery or getting Breakdown out) and drive off have replaced fuel pump as sender unit failed just before latest event fuel pump very noisy has been in to dealers 3 times but cannot find fault can any one help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BogMonster Posted August 12, 2010 Share Posted August 12, 2010 First things first somebody needs to check the fuel pressure in the fuel rail and confirm this is OK, should be 4 bar or 58psi all the time if not that is the problem.
