sussex-landy
I have decided to buy a second set of cheap 18 inch alloys which I found on ebay for £26 and I am thinking of putting teh general grabber AT2 255/55 18 tyres on as they are the only ones I can find in an AT pattern on the original size. Does anyone have any feedback from using these tyres and are there better ones. I will be using them for winter use driving to the alps around Morzine. Thanks RObert
elbekko
I run them in the 245/70R16 flavour, and very much like them. They do seem to get damaged quickly though. Punctured the sidewall on one, and lobbed off a chunk of the profile on another at Seven Sisters
sussex-landy
Thanks for the note. I wont be off roading in them, just using them for winter in the alps. Robert
russ1
I use them in that size on my range rover and on me dads disco and we both really like them, in the snow the other year they seemed spot on, Russ
elbekko
They handle very well in the snow. Do note that not all sizes come with the snowflake, so be sure to check that. It won't affect their performance, just might be important in some countries.
sussex-landy
I have to say I have had the General Grabber AT2 255 55 18 on the Range Rover P38 and they have been great. They are quieter and better behaved than the goodyear wrnglers in just normal road use and when the snow came over the last week they were awesome, didnt even snake or slide a little like the goodyears used to. A big thumbs up for me on the grabbers. Regards Robert
