CaptainBlue
In the workshop manual, it mentions the method of disconnecting the BBUS, Battery Backed-up Sounder by removing the connection within 17 secs of turning the ignition on then off. Where is the connector ? I thought this was the negative battery terminal. Range Rover 1999 HSE.
Ally V8
The connector on the BBUS,(Battery backed Up Sounder) is on the unit itself, behind the battery box between the engine compartment fusebox and the ABS pump. Most are now old enough that the Nicad battery in them no longer hold a charge,so disconnecting the battery is not a problem.Remeber it or the alarm horn MUST be connected to enter an EKA code.
