cookie64
Hi all Did a search for this on here but with no results so thought I'd start one Am thinking of fitting a hid kit onto the defender maybe the one from www.hids4u.co.uk I've tried to find out about the legalities of it as I don't have self levelling lights or headlight washers and from what I can tell all I need is self levelling lights These I can't find anywhere so I asked my parents both very well experienced coppers and hey said they would have a clue about the hid law they would just think the lights were set a lil high if I came along dazzling Just wondering what people know on this subject
western
fitting HID lights in place of normal headlights on a Defender is not legal, the parent vehicle must have a self levelling system for the headlights or automatic self levelling suspension a power wash system for the headlights you can fit hid spot lights if they are wired to the normal main beam, so the go out when the lights are switched to dip beam.
