iomlt
Quick question hopefully get a nice quick answer basically, i want to lower the gearing and plus i want to get rid of the borge warner transfer box. so i got myself a transfer box out of a 90 to put on the auto hp22 and it doesn’t fit. it goes on about 2 / 3 inches and then wont go any further... what transfer box do i need? I noticed that the main shaft out of the 90 after the spines nearer the actual gearbox is thinner than that of the auto, so understandably it wont let the transfer box slide on far enough.. I wasn’t expecting that to happen. please advice me thanks in advance.
Bowie69
You need to change the output shaft for one with longer spines, Ashcroft have these on their site for this specific reason, though it is a standard part. This is only normally a problem with later transfer boxes with a cross-drilled input gear. mickeyw
What Bowie says ^^^ You will also need the longer front prop shaft, as the BW output flange is further foward than the LT230.
