unclebill
Help, had a new clutch fitted a while ago and afterwards found that under load it would jump out of low ratio, adjusted that and solved the problem but now center diff lock doesn't engage, any adjustments that i need, I know about engaging the fork in the transfer box on refitting and i'm hoping thats not the problem, so is there any adjustment that can be made. Cheers for any help Bill Posted originally on disco forum, but not so well read as by you lot. Cheers for any help sorry its a 300 v8 disco by the way manual
Bull Bar Cowboy
Have you checked that it is not actually engaging by jacking one wheel ………….. or is that the light refuses to show that it is engaged ? The difflock not engaging is very uncommon, however, the difflock switch is a very common failure and a complete bar steward to change. Also if the switch has been changed recently ……….. if it is screwed to far in, it will stop the difflock engaging. Ian
bill van snorkle
The plug that secures the detent spring and ball (just behind the difflock light switch) may have been screwed in too far. try backing it off a little with a longish 6 mm allen key. Another possibility is that the short flat difflock lever on top of the output housing has been fitted the wrong way around.
