Tris Cocks
Hi My mate is rebuilding his 110 onto a galv chassis after some plonker decided he would rather use the back of the 110 as a brake instead of the middle pedal. He has noticed that after compressing the self leveling unit and hearing a slight pop that the unit is slowy loosing the fluid thats inside of it and is suspecting that the seal has gone, Can the seals be replaced and the unit rebuilt? or is a new one required? Cheers Tris
western
The Boge unit is NOT repairable, 2 options either buy/fit a new unit [these are very expensive - around 400quid new] or fit suitable rear springs from a 110 hardtop or unleveled station wagon. Tris Cocks
Thanks Ralph, My mate has a 110 station wagon, what springs would be correct for the rear? is there any side effects of removing the leveling unit?
western
removed my years ago & had no nasty affects, & fitted O.M.E.springs & dampers. a non-leveled 110 sits on these rear springs NRC6389 RH & NRC6904 LH, also know as 110 heavy duty rear springs.
